mystorefront.website Add a shop

For a website with the basics, but nowhere to sell

Snap it. Price it. Sold.

Already have a website, but no online shop? My Storefront adds one to it with a single line of code. Take a photo of something, add a name and a price, and it is for sale on your own site with a cart and a checkout, paid straight into your own account. Seven days free, then $1 a day.

Your shop's address comes from it: yourbusiness.mystorefront.website

A My Storefront shop on a phone: Wyatt's Antiques with six items for sale
A shop on a phone. Yours looks like this in about a minute.

How it works

Something new comes in. It is on your site before the kettle boils.

For antiques and collectables, second-hand and vintage, furniture, makers, plants, books, records: shops where the stock changes every week. Photograph it at the counter, add a name and a price, and it is for sale on your own website with a buy button and an enquiry form. When it sells, it comes off by itself.

An animation: a shop owner photographs a brass lamp on their phone, types its name and price and puts it on their site. The lamp appears at once on the shop's own website among its other stock. The owner copies its link to share. A customer adds the lamp to their cart and buys it, the owner's phone says it has sold and been paid, and the lamp comes off the website.

  1. Snap a photo
  2. Add a name and price
  3. It is on your site
  4. Share the link
  5. Sold, and off the list

On show the day it arrives

No listing fees, no forms to fill in, no waiting. Photograph it at the counter and it is for sale straight away.

Your shop, your name

Your own website and web address, not a listing among thousands. Every visitor sees the rest of your stock too.

Paid straight to you

Add to cart and checkout, paid into your own Stripe, PayPal or bank account. The money is yours; nobody takes a commission.

Share it anywhere

Every item has its own link to post on your social media pages, in a newsletter or a text to a regular who collects them.

  • Sold means gone: a one-off comes off the site, or the number in stock goes down
  • An email the moment something sells, with the buyer's details
  • "Is this still available?" enquiries for each item, straight to your inbox
  • Prefer people to come in? Show items with "In store" instead of a buy button

Added to the website you already have

Your site keeps everything it does today. The shop sits inside it, with an address of its own as well, or we add it for you.

On the website you already have

One line of code and your shop appears inside your own site, in a frame that grows to fit. WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or anything else: no plug-in, no rebuild.

How to add it

And an address of its own

yourshop.mystorefront.website comes with it, to link from your menu, your cards and your social pages. Your own domain can point at it too.

Or we set it up for you

Send us photos of your items and a few words, and we set your shop up and hand it over. Want a storefront designed around your business? We do that too.

Questions people ask

Who is it for?

Small businesses whose website has the basics (who you are, where you are, how to reach you) but no way to sell online. One line puts a shop on it, without rebuilding anything.

What if I don't have a website?

The shop works on its own address too. And if your website needs more than a shop, we build and host whole websites as well: start with a free 7-day mock-up.

Who gets the money?

You do, straight away. Buyers pay into your own Stripe or PayPal account, by bank transfer to you, or in the shop when they collect. We never hold your money and take no commission.

What does it cost?

Nothing for the first seven days. Then $1 a day, billed as $30 a month in advance, in New Zealand dollars with GST where it applies. No contract: cancel any time from your account.

What happens at the end of the free week?

Your shop closes to buyers until you subscribe, and everything in it waits for you. Subscribe during the week and you keep the days you have left.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Ask from your account and we attach it; your shop then answers at both addresses.

What can I sell?

Anything lawful to sell in New Zealand: antiques, second-hand, furniture, things you make, plants, books, records, clothes. One of a kind or a stack of them.

Is there an app to install?

No. Your shop opens in the browser on your phone; add it to your home screen and it works like an app. Snap a photo, add a name and a price, done.

HATTECH

My Storefront is designed and engineered by HATTECH Limited, a design and engineering company in Christchurch, New Zealand. The same team designs and makes infrared sensors for motorsport and runs the websites behind them, so the engineering under your shop, hosting, payments, security and backups, is looked after by people who build this for a living.
